ONSLOW BOROUGH COUNCIL.
A special'meeting of. the .Onslow .Borough' Council was;held last'evening,' there being present: The Mayor (Mr. J. G. Harkuess),. and Councillors Lynneberg, Kiernan, Aplin, Plimmer, and Watson.. ■ The principal business was the consideration of certain proposals which were brought forward by the Cashmere Estato Company, as set forth in a letter to the council, dated August 21, in support of which, a deputation representing the company attended the meeting. Mr. F. G. Bolton, managing director of .the company, was spokesman, and recited the facts of the application, in which the council was asked to reconsider the question of road access to the lower portion pi the estato and the proposed basis of subdivision of the upper portion.. 1 The council agreed to meet the wishes of tho company, with reference to the road to the lower portion of .the estate on condition that the minimum isizc: of the proposed subdivisions on: tho upper, portion was; enlarged; the basis of negotiation was incorporated m, a resolution to the effect that- tho subdivision be subject to the condition that 110 .scction shall bo less than 5000' square feet in approximate area,'nor, as far as possible, less than 50 feet in frontage; not more tliau one dwelling to ;be erected upon any one section, and that tho' '.conditions bo registered against tho titles. The proposed road,'further, is to bo graded 1 in 13, tho formation to be 20 feet, exclusive of wash channels, .and is to bo completed'within twelve months,'tho company to bo responsible for its'maintcn.ance for a period of,three; years,• . ,
