ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
SERIOUS TRAP ACCIDENT, (ur TELiatuPH.—srEcur, coieuespondent.) Faildlng, Augukt 24. A collision between two .' traps, having rather serious consequences to one of Waiata's settlers (Mrs. Balmcr), occurred, on Saturday evoning. -Mrs. Balmcr's trap was thrown off tho road, and, colliding with some logs, tho occupants (including an infant and a young lady) were thrown out, and the shafts broken off the body of tho trap. Mrs. Balmer had hor leg broken at tjio knee, and tho littlo boy had his thigh broken, while Miss O'Brien - was, considerably shaken about.
WOMAN'S BODY FOUND. (BY TELEGHAI'H I'HESS ASSOCIATION.) Clßborno, August 24. Tho body of Mrs. M'Cloary, wifo of a tailor resident here, was found on tho Waikanao beach this morning. Deceased's husband arrived from Auckland yesterday, and expected his wife to meet him, but found her absent from homo, and, reported her disappearance .to tho police. ; Two minor accidents occurred 011 Saturday evening. A man named Wm, M'Coll; residing at No. 11 Russell Terrace, burst a varicoso. vejn whilst getting out of a tram car at the oorner of Cuba Street and Vivian Street. Tho man was attended to by Dr. Mackin and removod to his'homo. A young man named Albert Press, living at Go Brougham.
