CHELTENHAM DAIRY COMPANY.

The fifteenth annual meeting of the Cheltenham Dairy Company will be held ;in the public hall at_ Cheltenham on Wednesday, next. In their report, the ; directors congratulate the suppliers on the good price obtained for butter fat. During the past year 9,175,8721b. of milk and 141,1861b. of cream have been received. The butter-manufactured amounted to 413,0021b. The directors regret that, owing to the very bad spring, which was followed by drought, a serious shrinkage .in the. output was caused, ■ and this greatly reduced the profits for the year's operations.. It is not intended to write anything oif the plant this year for depreciation, seeing that the machinery has been kept in first-class order, and .that 15 per cent, was written-off last year. It is proposed to erect a new creamery in the Oroua Valley, near Kimbolton. ' The amount, paid suppliers" was £15,446 os. 4d., while the sales amounted to £20,562 Is. sd.
