" The August meeting of the Wellington Pony and Galloway Racing Club was held at the Miramar Racecourse on Saturday afternoon. A little' dissatisfaction was caused by the la to .withdrawal of Billy from'~the Maiden Plate, his trainer scratching him just before the joekey weighed out. Betting operations were in full swing on the race and Billy was'faTourite, but the bookmakers got over the difficulty by all money and opening a fresh book on the race.
