THE WELL.
(From, the German of Irene Forbes-Mosse.) I sat throughout the dead hot hours of noon, And life' seemed pale/and without throb ' or. stress.; ■ Upon the statues'' dreams; had , laid their boon.. . '■ "Drink and"be'strong," I heard the well's "voice.say, .... ■ ■ "Mine are the waters of forgetfulness."
