£40,000,000 DECREASE FOB THE HALF- • YEAR. For tbo first six months of the year the value of British trade with countries abroad was £40,374,249 less than in 1907. Imports woro £30,050,175, and exports £10,324,074 lower. Tho Board of Trade returns show that for tho month of June imports declined £1,669,263 and exports £4,157,930 as compared with tho saino month last year. Tho totals for June and for tho first six months of' this year and last are Imports. Exports. £. £.
