The suppliers to tho Awahuri Dairy Factory met yesterday morning to discuss matters in connection with the working of the factory during the coming season. Heavy rain set in 'on Wednesday night, and : tho weather is still showery at the time of writing. Creeks aro Hooded and tho rivers aro "running high. . A considerable area of new country irill be under cultivation in Manawatu this season. ■; , Thero was a good fentry and likewise a .good attendance at tho stock sales yesterday. Cattle show an advance in price, and were in keen demand. •
