(Br TELEGEArH.—SPECIAL COEEESrONDENT.) Masterton, August 20. The annual meeting of members of the Mastorton Racing' Club was hold yesterday afternon. Mr. C. F. Vallance presided. The following officers were elected Patron Mr. A. W. Cave; president, Mr. C. P. Vallance ; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. MacAra, C. A. Pownall, A. G. Palmer, and D. M'Lellan"-' timekeeper, Mr. W. D. Watson; treasurer! Mr. C: F. Vallanco; clerk/of the course, Mr. C. J. Bennett; stewards, Messrs. E. Buick, W. Cooper, J. loms, AV. Piatt, C. H. Smith, A. J. AVelch, D. Caselberg, <w! Cress, A. Reside, W. D. Watson, 0. C. Cooper, and J. O'Meara; auditors, Messrs, GG. Cork and G. W. Sellar. Five new members were electcd.
It was resolved to recommend tho incoming committee to raise tho stakes next season from £2500 to £3000. It was decided to hold a 1 special general meeting later, to discuss the plans of the alterations and additions to tho course buildings.
