Colonel Feldwiek, and' then adjourned out of respect for his memory. The House spent the afternoon discussing replies to questions, littlo of importance being introduced in tlio speeches. . / . ' . At'the : 'OTening sitting, >Mr. Hornsby's Quackery' Prevention Bill was put through its final stages. Other private njcmbers' Bills dealt with were:—The Destitute Persons Act Amendment Bill, the i Counties. Act Amendment Bill; the Municipal Corporations Act Amendment Bill,, .and thti * Pul>lic Works Amendment Bill. • These ' all passed through committed, and - wore reported without important : amendments. Throughout tlio day tho House seemed to bo in no working mood. Th?'.rather protracted discussions on private, members' Bills in the evoning lasted until midnight,.that is to say, just loiig enough to prevent tho Estimates coming on again. -
