BAD EGGS.
■STRINGENT PROPOSALS. For the purpose of stopping tho traffic in bad eggs, a number of farmers interviewed tho Under-Secretary for Agriculture of New South/Wales last week,'and suggested the enforcement of regulations on tho following ' lines: 1 — . L The inspection of oversea eggs on the p wha'rf:' %: Condemnation of all parcels showing over 10' per cent, of bad eggs. 1 '■i: That all eggs be marked with tho date •if •;<'.</option in cold stores, so that pur--rs ivill kno>v exactly what they are I iiat retuilers be compelled to ticket eggs and sell thfi same truo to description. 5. I'veserved eggs shall be sold as such, and the form of preservative described. G. Inspection shall^be made during all seasons of .the year, and more particularly during the warm weather.^ 7. That tho above reforms are essential in the interests. of pure food for tho community. - " Tho Under-Secretary promised to bring the proposals before the Minister.
