He stated that' it would be a -mistake' for 'a Now Zealand ' team to go Home unless it was strong enoligk . to meet' international- sides. .ir'Nothiiig'.-would .•/ bq gained ,by a visit of a New, South .TVales team to the Dominion because the. quality-of play in*thai,State was not first class. ;He - qorisidered tliat the displays of the best teams. - in South Africa were inferior only .to those. of the best teams in England. It- was the - intention qf the South African Association -', to send a team Home for the season '.1910-Hi The Chairman' remarked that if a South African team visited New Zealand it would probably also tour New South Wales and West Australia. Mr. Holmes stated that he would be passing through Sydney in about seven weeks time. He would be glad to 'confer on behalf of the Council with the New Squth Wales authorities on the subject. i "Soccer" was, he added, also going . ahead rapidly in ,Adelaide which city he also' intended visiting.
