THE BUTTER SHORTAGE.
A LATE EXPORT SEASON. - Ono of tho natural consequcncos of tho shortago of butter in New Zealand (writes our Auckland correspondent) will bo a Into ■ beginning of the' export season. The quantity at present coming into the grading stores at Now Plymouth is only about ono.quarter as great as that usually received at tin's timo of tho year, and ovon.thc littlo that is coming in is not intended for export. Everything is being consumed in the Dominion. A gentleman intii'nately acquainted with tho ■movements of tho trade expects that no butter will be sent in for export till about tho middle of next month, and that the' first shipment for tho Homo market is not likely to leave till October.
