In the fourth match, of their Australian tour, the British footballers beat a Metropolitan toam by 16 points to 13. The teams were: — - ' , BRITAIN. . Full-back, Verge; three-quarters, Lusconlbe, Farhworth, Lviddy and , Burton; halves, Corbett and Matthew; forwards, darken, Dibley, Fitzhardinge, Burge, Eagar, Jo]in Hughes, Ritchie, Bullock'. The weather was finer, and the ground was in good'-'. condition. Tho • attendance was about 35,000, and the game , was fast and interesting.. As the result of fine passing, darken got over, and then Corltett, with a brilliant dash, secured a second try, Burge converting one of tlietn, and making the scores eveii.
