There were 98 starters. - Tiirner, who had 48 minutes 1 start, covered the distance,"-1331 miles, in Bhours4minutes; Patterson, with 42 minutes 1 start,' taking 8 hours 14 minutes 53 seconds; Hyslop, with 52 minutes 1: start, .8 hours 24 minutes 41 seconds. T. Larcombo, the scratch man, who finished ninth, put up the fastest time, 7 hours 53 minutes 40 seconds. Keefe (Tasmania), with 20 minutes' start, was ' second fastest, his time being 7 hours 57 i minutes. J. T. Summers (New Zealand), with 25 minutes' start, finished in the ruck. Larc'ombe led at Penrith. Turner got in front before reaching Parramatta.
