PONGAROA RIFLE CLUB. , : The mombors of tho Pongaroa Rifle Club met ,-on Wednesday, August 12, to compete for tho Club Cup, at 200,- '50p/ ; and -GOO yarns, fclio shoot having been postponed on the previous Wednesday on account of tho impossible weather conditions of that day. The conditions wero lavourable, and pretty even, oxcopting for one heavy shower, which inconvenienced two of , the competitors at COO yards for a timo, Tho Cup has now been competed for on eleven 'occasions, .and 50.,pev cent. of tho active lnern--1 bers; 'liavo/ a,'';' lqgi'.in;"' Following were tho scores: — 200 . 500 000 ' yds. yds, yds.
