VICTORIAN WHEAT AREAS.
The Victorian Government estimates that tho' area sown with wheat this season 'is 926,400 acres on fallowed land, and 1',158,800 acres on unfallowed land, or a total of 2,035,200 acres/ The previous season's total was 2,058,048 acres. The total wheat and flour available on June'3o, ■expressed in "terms of wheat,'appeared. to' s be' 7;467,146' bushels, as against 9,246,078 . at' the samo date in 1907: Of'this quantity,: about • 3,125,000 is required for home consumption up to the end of th'o year, leaving :an apparent surplus for export of ab0ut'4,342,000 bushels.
