The locations of Ministers to-day will be as follow:—Tho Prime Minister, the Hon. J. M'Gowan, the Hon. G. Fowlda, tho Hon. Dr. Findlay, and the Hon. J. A. Millar at Rotorua, the Hon. W. Hall-Jones in AVellington, the Hon. James Carroll at Christchurch, and tho Hon. 11. M'Nab in Southland.
Mr. H. Kelly, who is to represent the New Zealand Rugby Union in Australia with the British team, leaves for Sydney by the Ulimaroa to-morrow. ' '
Passengers to leave for Sydney by tho TJlimaroa to-morrow includo Messrs. Mowbray (of Levin and Co.), C. AV. Jones (manager for Huddart, Parker and Co., in New Zealand), E. T. Taylor, and J. Schwartz (of Christchurch).
All Auckland Press Association telegram states that yesterday was . the 68th anniversary of the day on which Sir' John Logan Campbell pitched' his tent on the shore of tho AVaificmata Harbour. Ho is now bordering 011 his ninety-second birthday.
Mr. AVarwick Ainsley, brother of Miss Irene Ainsley, has been in Wellington during the past few days making arrangements for his sister's concert tour of the Dominion. He leaves for Auckland this morning to meet Miss Ainsley on her arrival from Sydney.
. The last debate in the second round of tho Wellington Debating Union's tournament was held between the Karori and' Hutt Valley Clubs in tho Karori Borough' Council Chamber last evening. The debate was won by Karori by 10 points. Tho speakers were:— For Karori, Messrs. G. i\ Smytho, C. Cathie, and J. Caugliey;, Hutt Valley, Messrs. W. G. Cc rnpton, P. llishworth, and S. Ross.
Mr. "Jack" London has arrived at tho Solomon Gnjup, and news has been brought to Brisbane by tho island steamer Moresby to tho effect that Mr. London, with his wifo, was cruising amongst tho islands in tho yacht Snark. Ho stated that lie intended to remain in tho Solomon Group till December next, when ho hoped to visit Sydney and spend four or five months. The Snark, however, would bo left in tho Solomons.
Mr. Gil. Hoskins, who lias severed his connection With tho Fuller Proprietary to join tho Iloyal Pictures Syndicate, was entertained by the management, orchestra, and staff of tho Theatre Royal on Tuesday night. Subsequently a number of intimato friends assembled at the rooms of Mr. Chas. Parnell to bid Mr. and Mrs. Hoskins good-byo. From the Fuller Proprietary, orchestra and staff, Mr Hoskins received a travelling case _ suitably inscribed, and from friends outside the theatre ho received a pair of binoculars and an address, while Mrs. Hoskins was prescntc-d with a handsomo purse. Mr. and Mrs. Hoskins left last evening for Christchurch, whero Mr. Hoskins will at oneo enter upon his duties as manager for tho Royal Pictures Syndicate.
