British rule and British discipline cannot be surpassed Our Constitution is of the best. We, as a young nation, owe a lasting debt of gratitude to our parent— that good, Old Land. All this .fuss about invasion by tho Japanese or Chineso is to my mind, sir, purely"'a nowspaper bogy, originated by your oyening contemporary, and thore is no need for alarm. As a groat Christian nation Britain knows her position, and to ■the best of her ability plays her part. Should--'trouble come, wo in the' Southern seas, forming part of tho' family of a great nation, will be the first to bo assisted, without seeking "outsido" aid. —I am, oto., LOYAL CITIZEN.
