' MESSRS. DALGETY'S ADVICE. : - Messrs. Dalgety and Co., in their , annual "wool review,", stato that the following are among tho most practical'suggestions made for. the protection' of wool from tho'juto fibre' .oi the packs:— ' .. ' ■'. ; " (1) Do not tie the fleece'with anything at all, and on no account with twine. • > : . ",(2) Use packs mado smooth-side inside, looso topped and cut down sixteen inches at the corners. Have the balo stitched, as per improved system which is illustrated and fully explained in another part of this publication; with coloured twine. As even the smooth side of the present-day juto pack gives off a per-', tairi amount of loose fibres, it is advisable to singe or brush off same before. packing tho wool. s " (3) Many owners of high class fleece and lambs wool aro ordering the' ordinary jute, pack mado loose top, cut down sides, with a cheap glazed calico lining, mado slightly larger than the outside pack, so that samo need not take the strain. By using this pack and sewing 'with coloured twine by improved method, the wool will not only bo quite pro T tected from jute fibre, but also from a certain amount of dirt which finds its way. through the ordinary pack in transit to seaboard, on board ship, and on wharves."
