MANUFACTURE OF TOBACCO
The 1 following' new scale of license fees for the manufacture of tobacco, in the Dominion is gazetted. The regulations are as follow :f----1. The scale of fees to be paid for licenses to manufacture, tobacco shall ho as folou*: By cach license — - ' £ : For an estimated production for the years not'moro than 25,0001b. manu- ; factured -tobacco (including therein ' cigars, cigarettes,', and snuff)' . ... 25 For more than 25,0001b., but not . moro, than . 50,0001b.. ... '• ..... 50. For (more than '50,0001b., but not- ; moro than 100,0001b. ; ...100 ' For more than-100,0001b. '... ..; 150 Provided that when a license is issued later in the year than the month of January the sum to be paid for: it, and the quantity' permitted to be -manufactured under these regulations, shall be proportionate to the unexpired portion of tho year. ,2. The fee shall in'each case be payable to tho Collector , of Customs issuing the licenso, and before the.issue-thereof.
