THE WOOL EXPORT.

TWO RETURNS. DISCREPANCY IN THE FIGURES. Returns of tho export of wool from the Dominion during the year ended Juno 30 were obtained from Messrs. Murray, Roberts, and Company, and Messrs. Dalgety and Company yesterday. Thero is a largo discrepancy between the two returns. Messrs. Dalgety and Co's figures being 12,887 bales in excess of Messrs. Murray, Roberts, and Company's, and showing an increaso over, the previous year's*returns, whereas those of the latter firm show a drop of 22,636 bales whon compared with the return the firm supplied last year. The difference is made the more marked by a discrepancy in the figures for that year. Messrs. Murray, Roberts, and Co.'s retuf-n for the' Wool oxpoiied during the year ended Juno 30, 1907, gives, tho amount as 446.680 bales, whereas Messrs. Dalgety and Company's total is given as 427,058 bales, a difference of 19,622 bales. As will be seen by a careful perusal, tho figures of each port of shipment do not coincide.
