SHORT WEIGHT BUTTER.
In Victoria last season 271 tons of butter (or 2.24 per cent.) was "held , up" by the authorities for.'deficiency .in weight. This is the largest quantity ion tho records of that State. Tho quantity held up for weight in the previous year was 185 tons (1.08 per cent.), and in the year before 133 tons (0.87 percent.),.'
