Our Auckland correspondent writes: The lambing season has already • commenced in some parts of district, and although the wet weather is causing sonio mortality in the more exposed localities,, the lambs are, on the whole, doing remarkably well. At One Tree Hill a number of lambs have mado their appearance,_ and reports from Whangarei and the Kaipara indicate that already a fair percentage ! can _ be recorded. Auckland having a milder climate is naturally first with its lambing season.
