(BY TELEGBATH —PEESS ASSOCIATION.) Christchiirch, July 22. At the Addington live stock market there were fair entries:of 6tock and a good attendance. Store sheep were in good demand. .Fat' lambs were rather easier. There was a little improvement in fat cattle, and pigs sold about the same as the' previous week. Tho yarding of store sheep was about as large as last week, and there was an improvement in the quality. There was an excellent demand in spite of tlio wet weather, ewes and hoggets being most in request, and late prices were fully maintained. Two extra good lines of 2-tooth ewes .made 225. 6d., and well-grown- hoggets of mixed sexes sold up to 13s. 3d., and others lis. 9d. to 125., while a superior lot of ewe hoggets brought 14s. sd. A few.lines of wethers also met with good competition at late rates. There were about 2000 fat lambs penned, and tho quality showed a falling off. The competition was'not so brisk as of late, and prices were a shado easier. Tegs made 17s. to 17s. lOd.; ordinary freezing .weights 13s. to 16s. 6d.; and otlierSi 10s. 6d. to 12s. 6d. There was, a fairly large yarding of fat sheep of mixed quality, and including some good lines of wethers. There was an active demand for all prime sheep, especially wethers ,and for these there was an advance of about Is. per head. Other descriptions sold at about late rates. Towards the close several lots of these were withdrawn. The range of prices was: Prime wethers, 19s. Gd. to 235. 3d.; medium, 17s.
