A good gams of football was played on tlio Petonc recreation ground yesterday afternoon between teams from tho Wellington Meat Export and tlio Banks, and Diinock Companies. After a good rough-and-tumble gamo, the ground being very ' slippy, tlio match resulted in a draw, both sides scoring 13 points. ■ . The Musical Helpers, Wellington, journeyed to Petono last night and gave a concert and lantern entertainment in aid of tho Young Men's Biblo Class. A feature of the evening .was tho glee singing by the.party, also tlio illustrated songs,, a largo doublo lantern being used.
