MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.
A most delightful concert was provided by Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Jones at-tho Missions to Seamen Institute last night, when a crowded audience was present. Mr. James Moore, tho Missioner, occupied the chair, and during a short interval spoko in reference to the temporanco question, taking tho word "Friendship" for a subject. Eight men subsequently took the pledge of total abstinonce as a result. Vocal and oloeutionary items wcro contributed to tho programme by the following:— Jones, Barton, Ivy Jones, Messrs. Bray, Dickie, Fletcher, Henry, and Culvcnvell. Mr. Dean played the accompanimcnts. An efficient string hand, under the direction of Mr.' Dean, rendered several popular selections. The audience, led by tho Missioner, sang several well-known chorusos in good stylo, and a conundrum competition was won by sailors from ships in port. A hearty voto of thanks was accorded tho performers at tho conclusion of tho concert, and light refreshments were handed round.
