July 20. , Some three weeks ago a petition, signed in' accordauce with . the regulations of' the Municipal Corporations' Act, 1900, by riot less than one-fourth of the residents of tho Mahora district (north and south), was presented to the Governor, praying that that district be cut off from tho borough and included in the Hawke's Bay County. • A Gazette notico invites all,persons affected to forward objections in writing, to the Minister for,lnternal Affairs within a month'from last Saturday. ■' , - ■ .
