A very enjoyable social and dance was held, undorthe auspices of the Scottish Lowlands Society of New Zealand, in . the Concert i Chamber at the Tovni-Hall last night. Items wcro contributed by the . following:—Hiss Hall-Kenny, song and IrLsli jig; Mr. Baillio, selection on the pipes; Mr. Boyd, Highland tiing; Mrs. Hearn, song; and Mr. J. Thomson, recitation. Subsequently, over -seventy couples indulged in dancing to music supplied by Mr. Platts, assisted by Mr. Williams.
