REFUGEES AT THE BfilTlSU LEGATION. TROOPS WITHDRAWN. FAIR TREATMENT DEMANDED. (bt tileqbaph—press association—coftbight.) (Rcc. July, 3, 11.15 p.m.) London, July 3. In the House of. Commons Sir B. Groy, Secretary for Foreign Affairs, stated that the Persian troops which surrounded the British Legation at Teheran had boon withdrawn. The British Government required a written guarantee of the safety of the lives and property of Persian refugees beforo requiring them to quit tlio Legation ; and iu the case of those refugees who are accused of prime as distinct from political ofEenccs, the Government required assurances that they would have a'fair trial, at-which a membor. of the Legation should bo present. This statement was received with cheers. BRITAIN AND RUSSIA. A CLOSE ACCORD. . (Rec. July 3, 11.50. p.m.) London, July 3. The "Daily Telegraph " says that Britain and Russia are in closo and amicable accord in connection with the Persian crisis.' ON THE WINNING SIDE. ' ATTITUDE OF THE PROVINCES. , (Rec. July 3, 9.48 p.m.) Tohoran, July 3. ' The Persian provinces are closing the " anjumas" or political clubs, and are organising a demonstration in honour of the Shah.'
