At the Chamber of Commerce yesterday afternoon, a deputation was appointed to wait on the Borough Council at next meeting in connection with tlio Hokowhitu Bridge.
; Nurses Day and Hildreth, of the District Hospital, have received many congratulations on having passed their final examination. Both are well known and exceedingly popular, here. ■ .> •. ■
- Palmerston High School dcfcated the Taranaki School football team now on tour by 6 to 3, after an even game. Tho Dairy Union, Palmerston North, will instal two "Simplex" churn .arid - butter workers for next season.
