SUDDEN DEATH.

INQUEST AT THE MORGTJE,

An inquest was held at the Morguo,' beforo Mr. W: G. Riddellj S.M., : yesterday after-noon,'on,tho-body of afmarried wonian named France's Sarah Lutz, who died suddenly, on Monday-afternoon. Dr. W. K. Fyffe stated that ho held a post-mortem examination. on tho body of doceased,. and found .that thero wero no marks of violence about tho body. The cause of death was syncope, duo to narrowing, of tho mitral valvo of' tho' heart, a form of heart disease. All tho othor signs of tho body pointed to heart disease.

Dr. !'• W. Kemp deposed that ho -was called to tho Park Hotel at 3.15 on Monday to see deceased, and found her on, a; sofa. An examination. of the'body showed' that life had been extinct for about half an hour. Witness made a - superficial examination, and found no mark of any kind on tho'body, and was also present at tho postmortem. He agreed with tho evidence of Dr. Fyife. Julius Adolph Lufcz, licensee of tho Parle Hotel, deposed that deceased was his wife, arid was about 43 years of age. Deceased had suffered from bronchitis, and had complained of pains in the heart, but ; of lato her general health had been exceptionally good. 'On Monday deceased got up as'usual, and was'working about the hotel all tho morning. . Witness spoke to her last about 10.30 a.m., before ho wont down town. Oh returning soon after ono o'clock ho did not see his wife, : and went' through - the house looking for her, but could not-find her. At length he found her in her bedroom asleep on the sofa. He could seo~her breathing, and did lio't '-wako her up, but left the room and roturned about twenty minutes later, when he found that she had stopped breathing. On touching her lie became alarmed, and called for help.' Tho doctor was called in, and pronounced life extinct. Tho jury returned a verdict in.accordance with tho medical testimony that deceased died from syncope.
