BRITAIN WILL PAY NO MORE. In April the British Consulate in Tangier gave notice to all British subjects, whether residents or visitors; that the British Government will refuse henceforth to advance money as ransom in the event of their being captured by brigands either in or outside the town. This decision waa received with great indignation by the British colony in Morocco. ■Just prior to this event a Frenchman, M. Paret, and an Italian, Bianchi,' both civilians, unwisoly visited the tribes in tho neighbourhood of Casablanca, and were captured, and were carried into tho Marora forest, to the east of Rabat. A ransom of <£400 each was paid. The telegram .bdds: "The repayment of the inonoy is guaranteed by the French and the Italian Consuls."
