MILK TESTING.
Tho Instructor remarking on the milli testing competition said that generally speaking the work dono by the competitors was' equal to that of last year. Tho weak point in tho operation was' the neglect to take tho temperature and specific gravity of tho sulphuric acid, also the failure to heat the milk to a proper temperature beforo sampling. Thoso two essential points -required to bo moro fully understood by the-majority of competitors. Tho results woro as follow:— ' ' Daniel Desmond, Cheltenham, 92. A. Patterson, Choltenham, 87. T. J-lains, Okaiawa, BG. W. West, Palmerston North High School, 35. * Sixteen , competed. Messrs. F. Thompson, dairy: instructor, and W. Grant, grador, actcd as judges.
