M'Kinnon Wood, Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Education, is a Congregationalism Then Sir Honry Fowler is a prominent Weslovan; Mr. Birrell's father was a famous Liverpool Baptist minister, whilst other Nonconformist members of the Government are Sir Samuel Evans, Mr. George Lambert,' Jlr. .A.' J. Pease, Sir W. S. ltobson, and Mr. J. H. , Whitley. Thus prestigo and power as exclusive possessions of the Established Church aro fast becoming things of tho past. What legislation has failed to do, evolution ihas virtually done—brought about a practical disestablishment of i.ho Anglican Church. That Nonconformity, which is a purely voluntary system, based on a lovo of liberty, and backed by 110 extraneous support, should have achieved tho position it holds in the country to-day is a wonderful tributo to tho power of its principles and its innate vitalM"-
