Tlio "Daily Mail" states tbat tho processionists numbered 9C70. The " Daily News " states that polico re* turns show that 35,000 took part. Tlio precessions were splendidly marshalled. Thirty special trains brought many podplo from tlio provinces. Mrs. W. P. Reeves was a banner-bearer. The spectators in the Park numbered at least a quarter of a million. Sonio accounts give muoh larger figures. •The suffragist leaders were dressed in white and occupied twenty platforms. The crowds were generally good-humoured, though there was a considerable body ,of dissentients. Some platforms, especially that of Mrs. Pankhurst, were groatly disturbed by Hooli-' gans, whoso rushes and horse-play caused many ladies to faint. Six thousand police wero present. A resolution demanding the vote for women was carried simultaneously in all parts of the huge gathering, amid .great cheering. The. suffragists declare that the demonstration was a great success. i Mrs. Pankhurst claims that London: is already convinced. "The Times" advises the other side to demonstrate also. ■'
