The total number of eggs laid' up to .Tune 12 in''thd New''Zealand' Utility' Club's (Lincoln College) fourth egg-laying competition (says a Christchurch Press Association messago) was 5087.. The following were the highest pens during last week:—G. H. Robinson's Silver Wyandotte's, 32; F: Kennedy, Silver Wyandottes, 31; Miss Rita Nixon's Silver Wyandottes, 31; Rev. F. G, Britain's' Wliito Leghorns, 30; H. Hawke's V/hito Leghorns, 30; W. P. Hodson's Brown Leghorns, 30, The highest individual totals to date are:—F. Kennedy's Silver Wyandottes,' 254; "New Zealand Poultry Journal" Institute's ■ Whito Leghorns, 219; A. Padman's White Leghorn's, 210; Driiry and Rose's White Leghorns, '204; Allan Petrie's White Leghorns, 195; R. W. Hawke's White Leghorns, 194.
A New Plymouth Press Association telegram states that the Taranaki Agricultural Society has decided to hold its annual shov/ on Wednesday and Thursday, November 25 and 26, and to write to the Auckland A. aiid P. Society in an endeavour to. have, tho Auckland Show held in the following' .week instead of on Friday and Saturday, November 27 and 28. A proposal that a party, of members visit the State experimental farm at making the trip from the Palincrston Show on Thursday, was very heartily taken up, and arrangements .itc now being made. Last year a large party visited Momohaki, and this year the society goes farther a'fiold for information.
