Tlio one topic of conversation, not alone among those who follow the game regularly, is to-morrow's match between tho AngloWelsh Rugby team and Canterbury. Tho visitors' severe defeat last Saturday has by no means disheartened the Britishers, and before tho tour closes they hopo to show that they are capable of hotter things. The Canterbury team is very strong in the back division with such men as Burns, Gray, Deans, M'Donald, Fryer, and Fuller, and if tho woather holds good, the "game should jirovo a vory fine one to watch. If the Canterbury forwards can hold tho opposing pack, the backs should be able to mako things merry for tho Britishers. Vassall's injury will keep him out of the team, whilo Jackett and Harding are also standing down. The teams are:— BRITAIN. Full-back.—J. C. Dyko. Three-quarters.—F. Chapman, P. F. M'Evedy (captain), J. Polity Jones, J. L. Williams. Halves,—W. Morgan, J. Tuan Jones. Forwards.—R. .Dibble, E. Morgan, T. Smith, P. Down; H. Archer, L. S. Thomas, J. A. S. Ritson, and R. A. Gibbs (wing). CANTERBURY. Full-back.—A. E. Doell. Throe-quarters.—F. C. Fryer; R. G. Deans, W. B. Fuller. Five-eighths.—J. D. Gray, E.- B. M'Donald. Half-backP. Burns. Forwards.—J. Mahonev, T. In the afternoon they woro driven out to Kaiapoi to have a look over tho woollen mills. , SOUTH ISLAND TEAM.
