He alleged that tho late Mr. David Syme always wanted politicians to bo at his beck and' call, adding, "Ho sent for mo many a time, but I said 'No, 1 am not going to be. guided.or directed by you.'" Mr. Bent. offered to givo £100 to somo charity if tho " Ago " could prove that sinco he had been a Minister he had-put a penny in his pocket. ;
