The executive of the Lithgow Ironworkers recommend the men to rcfuso to accept tho proposed reduction of wages. , The. failure of the Federal House 'of Representatives to. pass the Manufacturers'Encourr agement (Iron Bonus) Bill has placed the Lithgow Ironworks in a critical position. The owners ask the employees to accept a reduction of wages ranging from 5 to 12$ per cent, till the Bill is re-introduced in September. In the event of the proposed reduction' being refused, the owners state that tho works will bo kopt going for. a month to enable the men'to seek work elsewhere.
