The body of John Whitehead Nick], a married man, who was supposed to havo been drowned in tho Wairba on May 26, was found yesterday in tho river. At an inquest a verdict of accidentally drowned was returned. : MISSING MAN'S BODY RECOVERED.- , Cisborng, June, 10. The body of the missing engineer of the trawler, Endon, Mr. Andrew Walwick, was recovered from tlio river by the Harbour Board dredge this morning. ■ A WOMAN'S DEATH. ■ , Auckland, June 10, An inquest was opened at tlio hospital on tlio body of Laura May Collins, a single woman, aged 24. Evidence by tlio girl's moth or showed that- tho deceased'was a barmaid .it and JSarangahako. Information ...is been received that Captain John Campbell, ono of the first shipmasters m tho employ of tho Westport Coal Company, and his two sons, were recently drowned oil tho West Australian coast, and that Mrs. Campbell died 'suddenly at Christchinch some weeks after—"of a broken heart," an informant writes.
