Whenever dairy-farmers are holding clearing stock sales (writes , our Wairarapa correspondent) it. would be a good idea if they were to construct an enclosure in a nice green -paddock; into which the cows could bo : driven for sale one .at a time, to be afterwards driven out again to the open paddock. . This system is well worth the trouble, especially when the- stockyard is rather miiddy. A proper. arrangement for a'stock .is an indication in many ways of-how the stock has been matured, and it often results in a most successful sale. Intending buyers note the arrangements with satisfaction, while the auctioneer is put in a good humour, and does his best , in every possible way for his client. When things are slipshod, however, no one cares what the result will he.
