CONFERENCE OF CHEMISTS.

TO COMMENCE TO-MORROW. A conference. of chemists ' representing every district in Now Zealand is to be oponea at tho National' Mutual Buildings at 8.30 o'clock to-morrow evening by His Worship tho Mayor (tho Hon. T. W. Hislop). At present there is no general body in the Dominion to which the chemists owo allegiance, other than tlio New . Zealand Pharmacy Board, which is a Board set up to administer the Act. Other than that there aro district pharmaceutical associations in the centre's, which act independently of cacli other, but aro not allied by any supremo governing body. _ This state of things is not considered to be in the best interests of the profession, and it will be the endeavour of tlio conference to rectify tho matter within tho next few days.>

As showing the representative character of the conference, there will be three, delegates from Dunedin, two from Christchurch, two from Taranaki (Messrs. Sykes and Hall), two from Hawke's Bay, one from Wanganui (Mr. Doig), one from the Wairarapa, and, of course, a suitable delegation from Wellington, including Mr. L. M'Kenzie, who, as President of tho Wellington Association, has been'activo in bringing the conference to a head.
