The Now Zealand professionals concluded their tour with a match against Australia, in which the homo team proved victors ny 14 points to 9. The weather was line, and the attendance was good. Tho teams were:— Now Zealand—back, Tyno; three-quarters : Rowe, Barber, W. Wynyard, Tyler ; halvev. Wngley and Wynyard; forwards: Lilo, Cross, Johnston,' Gilchrist. ■■ (Apparently tho namos of . two forwards have been dropped in transmission.) Australia—back, Hedloy; threequarters: Cheadlo, Messenger, Anderson, Devereux ; halves: Rosenfield and Holloway; forwards: Graves, Cann, Lutge, Pearce, Jones, Hardcastle. Play, oxcepting towards tho close of tho second half, was mediocro. At tho opening tho home team pressed the visitors. Tho tide soor. turned, and.the first scoro;went to the New Zealanders. Holloway, picking up m tho open, was penalised, and Wrigley kicked a goal. . , . . Slow play followed: Then the New Zealander Pearce marked at half-way, and Wrigley landed a goal. A third goal was added by Wrigley, tho rosult of a mark b.v Gilchrist. At half time the score was: New Zealand 6, Australia nil. In the second half Australia showed to much better advantago, and in the closing stages complotoly out-played tho Blacks. Tries were sccured by Anderson, Graves, Jones, and Messenger, oho of which Messenger converted. ' J Wynyard secured the only try for tho Blacks, which Wrigloy failed to convert. (Rec.
