CHRISTCHURCH POULTRY SHOW.

(BT XELEOEAPH.—I'III:S3 ASSOCIATION.) Christcliuroh, Juno 4. The annual show of *tho' Christchurch Poultry, Pigeon,, and Canary Club was opened this afternoon. Thero aro 777 entries in the poultry class, about 700 in tho pigeon division, and. nearly 150. in tho canary class. Altogether the entries constitute a record for the show. Tho quality of all the exhibits is indeed high, and tho judges were sovoroly taxed in awarding tho prizes.

At tho Christchurcli Poultry' and Pigeon Show tho Wellington exhibitors were very successful, particularly in pigeons. Tho awards wore as follow:—Black orpingtons, A. Guthrie, first and third in pullets, very highly commended in cockerels. Silver wyandottes, T. 11. Boyes, first in coks. Banta"* X. Casey, two firsts in Sobrights; one second and one fourtli in itosecomus. I'lguoiis, Gardner Bros., two: fusts; Fallu, one first and second; Adams," first, second, and third. Magpies, M. Grensido, 'threo firsts, . threo seconds, fivo thirds; J. Adams, one first, and oiio second; Stairmond, ono first, one second, two thirds; Fallu, ono 'first; Guthrie, ono second, and ono third; Boyes, ono fourtli. Show homers, H. Littlcjohn, first, second, and third; Fanvel, ono first. Tumblers, Littlcjohn, one third; W. Aiders, threo firsts, two seconds, and bile third. R Fallu won tlio owl championship with his young wliito lien. W. Hieknot won the magpio championship with a young yellow hen.
