Tho Gregg Institute ladies' hockey team and a' number of enthusiasts journeyed to Manakau on Wednesday to play against a combined' team of Manakau and Hui Mai girls.- The visitors were welcomed m tho Town Hall, where an excellent luncheon was provided. Tho match was played on the Union - ground, arid a fast and interesting game was witnessed by a. largo number of spectators, the Gregg girls being defeated by four goals to nil, duo chiefly to the hard and accurate hitting of tho ~ local playora. The match was controlled by Mr. Dewdney, of Lovin. After tho gamo the visitors were entertained in tho Town Hall, where - dancing was indulged in untikthe arrival of the 7.19 train. A poi dance by one of the Hui Mai girls was greatly appreciated. ■ '
