Tho secretary of tho ' Auckland Rugby Union forwarded a telegram from tho Rotorua Union, in which indignation .was expressed at tho action of the New Zealand Rugby Union in regard to tho control' of tho Nativo match with the British team at Rotorua. It was decided to reply that previous t-o tho Rotorua Union's application a request for' a match with a purely Mabri team at Rotorua had been received, and the fixture had been decided at tho desire of tho Britishers, who wished to play a purely Maori team. 1 IV letter on tho same matter was received from. Dr. Wi Repa, Gisborno, who suggested a way t-o make tho Maori team properly representative. It was decided to write in terms similar to tho reply sent to the Rotorua Association, and stating that all arrangements wore being mado by, tho Native Association. The Auckland Union asked for tho removal of tho disqualification on L. P. Williams. It was decided to ask for 'tho reasons for the request. It was decided to allow - tho Wanganui Rugby Union to charge 25., 3s. 6d., and 4s. for stand accommodation in the match with tho Englishmen, instead of 25., 45., and 55., as first arranged. . . . It was arranged that tho "second British tcsi iriatch, to be played -in Wellington, shall start at 2.45 p.m. It was decided to engage the Garrison Band to provide music at tho'match.
It was also resolved to forward an application to the Post and Telegraph . Department for telegraphic facilities at the Athletic' Park on the day of the test match. Regarding the difficulty hitherto existing in the publication of the names of the visitors prior to the match, it was resolved that a telegram be forwarded to the mailager of the British team suggesting that hoj should permit the Press to obtain the names of tho men selected at the earliest opportunity. It was said tho chairman that the New Zealand Union had no desire to withhold tho names of players fronv tho Press, the only request being that tho numbers of the players be reserved for those, who possessed tlie programme rights.
