The-Committee resolved "that the'.Association should bo represented by a full team at tho Now Zealand championships",' which are to .be held in Christchurch this year. : Mr. J. G. Hankins, of Levin, wrote stating 'that ho had been successful in forming a' "Boxing- Association; with headquarters' at Levin, and to bo known as tho Horowhenua 'Boxing Association. ■■•■-. • The prices of admission' to tho amateur' championships were fixed- as follow Stage, ,7s. 6d.; reserved stalls, 45.; dress circle and stalls, 35.; back stalls,* 2s. 6d.; and family' circle, Is. - ' '»• • . It was agreed to inform tho New Zealand Boxing Council l that'tho Association was in' •sympathy with' its ■ efforts to' promote com-' | petitions in tho secondary. schools. ' Further consideration of the matter,-waß, however,' deferred until after tho provincial championships. Tho'secretary''of tho Tarariaki" Association intimated that it was -unlikely competitors would' be availablo' from that district for tho amateur championships in Wellington on -Juno-16 and 17. However, Marks was willing : to moot anyono his weight, : Godfrey', preferred, on either riiglit. Tho oommitteo decided to inform tho Association that it would hear in'mind Marks's requests . ; A. Gault (Auckland) and J. Gosling-(Wei-lington) notified their willrngnoss to tako "part in a match as arranged by tho Association. • In connection with this contest the Northern Association intimated that it had ;no'objection thereto,' arid'would do all in its power to assist in tho matter.' L. M'Carthy, Auckland, mado application :for a match with a lightweight on tho evening of tho contost between Gault and Gos•n ~? 6 that -he had-improved'con-siderably since last season. If desired, ho would tako part ip any competition ■ that evening. It was decided to communicate with the writer at a later dato. ' ,New Zealand Boxing Council advised tho Centre'that it had received an application for affiliation from the Hawko's Bav •Amateur Boxing Association, hut, had doclmcd 'to consider tho request owing to'tho that it had not boen mado through the ■Centre. With, reference to this matter, the secretary of tho Centro was instructed to obtain additional information regarding the new Association. •
