. SHIPPING DELAYED. (BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.} Christchurch, Juno 1. A strong southerly galo, with heavy rain squalls, set in about 8 o'clock on Saturday night, and continued until yesterday morning, delaying shipping considerably. , Tho big tramp steamer Otterburn had a rougli trip' down from Wellington, and' tho ferry steamer Mararoa was about threo lind a half hours la to in arriving at Lyttelton. Tho oollier Whangapo, which left Wellington at about 4 p.m. on Saturday, did not arrivo at Lyttelton until 9 o'clock last night. The Cygnet, laden with slieop from Titirangi (Pelorus Sound), was duo at 9 o'clock yesterday morning, but did not arrivo until 5.30 p.m. Tho weather was calm to-day, but there was a hard frost this morning.
