Saturday for refusing to obey an order of the Court to pay a carpenter back pay on an arbitration award, was met by a large crowd of sympathisers on arrival at .Drury, and enthusiastically cheered, while'a band played "Sco tho Conquering Hero Comes." In tho evening ho was at a wolcomo social, at which' a. resolution was carried recognising Mr. Dixon's'"noblo sacrifico in the causo ol freedom and in fighting tho battle of the employers in the Dominion." A letter Was read in which a Wanganui resident' offered to contribute £200 to assist Mr. Dixon in fighting any further action that may be takon against him. •
