Advices have been received to' tlio offect that a boiler oxplosion occurred on tho Dutch steamer Pahud, 1994 tons gross, whilo she was loading at Uolawan, Sumatra. Tho port aido of the steamer, and a portion of tho wharf and sheds alongsido, were smashed. Numbers of passengers were blown ashore with the dobris. Thirteen passengers wore killed and twontynino wounded. One' of tho crow was killed and sovon wounded, whilo four aro missing. Tho vessel sank.
